My Background

Drawn by their client-centered approach to financial services, I joined Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. as branch manager in 2013 and facilitated the opening of our Birmingham office. I started my financial services career in 1989.

Outside of work, I like to spend time with my wife, Marian; and our three adult children named Katie, Carol Anne, and Carmen. I also enjoy golf, hunting, saltwater fly fishing, and sports — I’m an avid Auburn University fan. In addition, I enjoy travel, food and wine.

What is an AAMS®? Earning the ACCREDITED ASSET MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST℠, or AAMS®, certification from the College for Financial Planning means that a financial advisor has successfully completed a course of study, passed an exam, and is compliant with a Code of Ethics, which includes agreeing to abide by the Standards of Professional Conduct. In addition, the designation is subject to renewal requirements every two years, which in includes the completion of 16 hours continuing education, and a reaffirmation to the Code of Ethics.
