My Professional Approach
With more than 20 years in the financial services industry, I helped open the Salem, Ill., office of Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. Why? Because it is a financial services company that – like me – believes in putting clients first and operating in an atmosphere of trust, integrity, and mutual respect.
I thoroughly enjoy helping my clients pursue their life goals by helping and advising them on accumulating the wealth that makes them achievable. How? By listening carefully to my clients, and then applying my knowledge and a four-step approach:
- Understand – I work to understand their investment objectives, investment time horizon, and their tolerance for risk. If they are saving for a secure retirement, their child’s education, or want to pass their wealth to the next generation, I can help.
- Plan – I use my analytical abilities to develop a financial approach that is designed to meet their objectives, while also taking into consideration their tolerance for risk. We then work together to ensure their comfort with the proposed approach.
- Act – We incorporate the necessary financial instruments to put the plan into action – be they stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities, or managed accounts.
- Monitor—Finally, we keep an eye on things going forward and make adjustments when the markets, the economy, or just “life” requires.
Drop in or give me a call for visit. I’d love to see how I can – with the backing of the professionals of Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. – help you accomplish your financial goals.
Prior to my financial services career, I was in the U.S. Army for seven years and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. During my military career, I was an Airborne Infantryman with the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii and served as an Escort to the President of the United States for four years while a member of the 3rd U.S. Infantry known as the “The Old Guard.
Following my military service, I returned to Salem where in addition to my work as a financial advisor, I am a local pastor at Salem Grace Church of the Nazarene. My wife and I have been married for more than 25 years and have three children. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my family, volunteering at my church, running, biking and hunting.
I am also an avid sports fan. Let’s go Blues, Kansas City Chiefs, and St. Louis Cardinals!
