What We Do

Benjamin F. Edwards was born out of the desire to find a better way to help clients improve and organize their financial lives into an easy-to-understand format. Our objective is to take all the pieces of your financial plan and put them in place. Each plan is unique. Many of those pieces may not be relevant to you or your plan at this time, but as your life unfolds and your needs evolve, our process, the Via Appia FORMula, helps you pursue your financial independence.

Having developed and refined this process, some things have become clear …
At Benjamin F. Edwards, we recognize that we are not all things to all people; we are all things to some people. Our client relationships are based on a very specific FIT process, allowing us to partner with those clients we are most suited for. In doing that, we are able to provide an elevated client experience keeping all the pieces of each client’s individual financial plan in place.

“Financial Independence is the ability to live from the income of your own personal resources.”

Dawn Pilipchuk-Kruth, AAMS

Dawn joined Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. in 2013 and helped open the firm’s Waterloo office. She started her financial services career in 1996 when she began working with her father, Richard Pilipchuk, in Waterloo at A.G. Edwards. During her first 24 months as an advisor, Dawn was recognized for being in the top five percent of her class.

Also active in the community, Dawn serves as a board trustee for the Mercy One foundation. When she’s not spending time with her family and three fur babies, you can find her enjoying the outdoors, whether it’s trying to keep up with her son playing golf, boating or traveling to find a beach. She also enjoys spinning classes on her Peloton.

Nickolas Pilipchuk

Before joining Benjamin F. Edwards & Co. in 2013, Nick worked in sales and managed an industrial wholesale company in Cedar Falls and Des Moines areas for about 10 years. In 2011, he joined his sister, Dawn, as a financial advisor. In doing so, together they became the second generation of Pilipchuks advising clients on financial matters. Their father started his career in the industry in 1968.

When Nick is not working, he enjoys spending time with his daughter, Kloe. He is an extreme fan of University of Iowa football and basketball. Nick enjoys traveling and talking about his passion for cars, and loves to play golf – just not particularly well.

Brian Persson, CRPC
